Music. Thank you, hello, and welcome to the Pig and Whistle Tales from Azeroth. As always here at the Pig and Whistle Inn in Stormwind, I go through a variety of subjects with regards to World of Warcraft, so grab a bottle or a pint, sit back and enjoy this episode. We'll be going over a few of the bits and bobs that have been recently released, or at least been talked about, in the upcoming 11.1 patch, which is the Undermined. Now, we're not going to be coming through all of the buffs, nerfs and stuff, because there is too many, okay. There is way, way too many, okay. Um, there is a entire sort of block on this. I'm scrolling through it now and there is just way too much. So, yeah, we're going to be skipping that, we're going to be going over the fundamentals, ok. So what is happening essentially in the patch? What other bits and bobs are coming with the patch? And then we might round it off with Season of Discovery and the possible bits and bobs that might be coming in that World of Warcraft expansion, that part of WoW, yeah, that part of WoW. So the Undermine players will travel deep into the goblin city of the Undermine and this is the capital of their empire. Empire. Essentially, uh, apparently, it's a city like none other and we've seen before in wow, and it stands as a testament to goblin intelligence and creativity as experts in both technology and alchemy. As our adventures continue, we'll learn more about goblin culture and society that we have never before seen. We'll learn what's important to them, the problems they are trying to solve, everything that makes them truly unique and what they are capable of essentially as a society. And this is just the way that they previewed this is. It's essentially Kazan, but underground there is nothing. It is underground.
Speaker 1:In my honest opinion, I think you want to stay away from the underground zones for a bit. Now, I say this as a sort of you know, I'm not a fan of them anyway, but I say it in the fact that in patch 10.1, where did we go? We went to? I've already forgotten the place, but it's the place with the Niffen and in, obviously, dragon Isles, not Dragon Isles. The other one, the Waking Shore. I'm getting the mix up. No, waking Shore is Dragon Isles still. Oh, my god, am I like losing the plot? Am I losing the plot? The dawn of goal zone. You know the dawn of goal zone? Uh, you have the ringing deeps, that is obviously underground as well. So well, I say that hello fall and ashkah also underground, but that's not the point. The ringing deeps feels like it's underground, it feels like it is in a cavern, whereas hallowfall and, um, as you can feel like they are just different zones in themselves.
Speaker 1:Now it's tough, because where else are you going to have a goblin sort of patch? It does make sense, it being underground, where all the cartels are and stuff like that. Um, but yeah, I think you want to stay clear of that for a while and I believe that they will do. I think they're getting it all out of their system. Now. For us to go, oh, yep, we're going on a spaceship ride into the void and we're going to go kill zalatath out there, you know, kind of like with argus, where it's like, oh, the legion are invading azeroth. Yeah, well, we're going to jump into a little portal now and go onto a ship that will take us to Argus while we're fighting the boss. You know that kind of thing. But besides that, again, not really a big fan of the goblins, I think some people are and they really haven't had the representation that they should do in the game. So it does make sense that they would eventually get a patch for themselves, because night elves get their own things with a myrdrasil.
Speaker 1:You obviously have humans that are constantly in there with Mithra's shore and stuff. You don't really have goblin stuff, do you? Gallywix kind of did just leave at the end of BFA or mid-BFA and that was about it. But in the Undermine you're going to have four cartels. So these four major cartels are Steamweedle, blackwater, bilgewater and the Venture Company. Each cartel is run by a goblin that you will know. So Monty Gaslow is one of them. Gaslow popping up in Ratchet at the very start of World of Warcraft. Baron Revelgaz, I forget. I really don't know how to say his second name, but he has been in WoW since the start. He has been in Booty Bay. Marin Noggenfogger, the most iconic one because he sold the Noggenfogger potions back in Tanaris, back in Classic, and they are so iconic, these potions, that they are amazing. And as for the Venture Company, I don't know at the moment. They didn't say and more. There was also a fifth cartel waiting in the wings to learn about a bit later. Apparently. Now, this fifth cartel, we have no idea. They've given us no info, info, but we will learn as we go through the story.
Speaker 1:I would imagine, um, which of these cartels you align yourself up with is up to you. Your experience will change within the undermined depending on which of these cartels you ally with. As you progress, you'll gain access to customizations for your car, um, and new transmog appearances, toys and more. So what I'm hoping for is that, depending on who you align with, certain places within the undermine are hostile or become out of bounds. So, let's say, you've just got a square, a plain square, and these cartels own a quarter of the district each. So top left, 25%, top right, 25%, bottom left, bottom right, etc. If you align with top left, 25%, top right, 25%, bottom left, bottom right, etc. If you align with top left, everything else apart from that top left is hostile to you, and I think that'll be really cool. I think it would shake it up, and you know they're not going to be like, oh my God, one shot, like sort of guards, but they're going to be like what are you doing here, get out. And if you stay in that zone for too long, you get people like or goblins trying to chase you down and stuff. So I think that would be really cool. I think it would be a really cool idea, but I don't think it will happen that way. I think, um very much. It's going to be a sort of um you know you can interact with this mob, you can't interact with this mob, and you know you can do these sort of things and you can't do these sort of things. So it's very tough to say how it will interact. But you know, it's interesting. We've seen these sort of things before where you have to align yourself with certain people. We're seeing it in ashkahit, where you have to align yourself with the web weaver or the general or you know whoever. It is um and you earn certain rewards by doing that renowned system. Essentially, and I think it's very good, it allows people to not feel pressured in doing anything and it's always there to come back as a sort of green feature for everyone that can farm cosmetics and stuff.
Speaker 1:The biggest thing that I want to talk about is the drive. Actually, thing that I want to talk about is the drive, actually the DRIVE. Now, this is going to be instead of flying in the undermined zone, and what this essentially is is essentially your build, a car workshop. You can customize your car, you can give it more or higher top speeds. You can give it better drifting, better handling, better acceleration you can customize it however you want and apparently it goes three to four times faster than a ground mount and actually, at its top speed it goes faster than a dragon riding mount, which is really, really cool. So you are going to be zooming along down there. You know drifting corners and honestly, I'm quite looking forward to it, as long as it isn't. The problem that I would have is, if there was no flying is, how accessible is this for normal ground mount? You know accessibility and usually they are quite big zones. But with this driving now, you are going to be zooming around the zone, drifting corners and stuff, and I think that it's going to be quite good. I think it's going to add an element of enjoyment to it.
Speaker 1:Dragon Riding when Dragonflight came out was a very nice relief. Instead of just pressing numlock and going on your way, way, you're actually engaging with your journey to and from, like your destination, and I think that it was a real winner in dragonflight, a very under underrated winner in dragonflight, in my honest opinion. Not not pre appreciated enough. Oh, my god, my words can, uh, come out of my mouth there, um, but essentially you can customize this now, um, I'm hoping that the city has been built to accommodate for these cars. I know that they probably thought that in my or had that in mind when customizing the city, but there's going to be a couple turns in there probably that are going to be awful to do, um, and it will kill your enjoyment for it.
Speaker 1:But I really hope that, going forward, um, out of this patch, that they keep the drive thing going and you can keep customizing it, and it allows you to make the choice between dragon riding and just getting in your little car and doing donuts around the middle of, like, the city. Because in Valdrakken okay, let's picture this We've had this drive thing. In Shadowlands, okay, how much more fun would it have been to do some drifting, to do some donuts around the middle of Oribos, rather than just running on a normal ground mount. How much more fun would that have been? I think that would have been amazing and I can't wait to do that in the major city, if they allow it in the major city, that is. I wouldn't see why they wouldn't.
Speaker 1:But, yeah, I think that this could be really good and it will allow for different dynamics of getting to your destination. Like, let's say, you just want to get to the same like point within the same zone, then, fair enough, you go from dawn ago all the way to cinder broom, meadery or whatever it's called. You know the far east of the zone. That's fine. You can now drive there and maybe even get there faster. But the thing is, dragon riding will always beat it because it's as the crow flies, just straight um, whereas you have to go around some like mountains and stuff, and the thing is you can't really do the driving going into the ringing deeps and into hallowfall and ashkahet and stuff. So yeah, they're gonna have to now think of ways to design zones for both Dragon Riding and the Drive system.
Speaker 1:But I think that it's going to be really good and this is going to be a very underrated part of the patch and I think people will not necessarily realise how good this will be. I don't think people will give the credit that it deserves, because I think that Dragon Riding didn't get the credit that it deserved when it came out in the previous expansion. Like, everyone was like, oh yeah, this is good, but then they kind of just forgot about it and now it's the norm. So I think that this is going to be very underrated, and I think people are going to love it for the first week but then forget that it existed and just kind of write it off as, oh, this should have been the norm and like blizzard should have done this earlier, kind of deal. I think it's very good, though.
Speaker 1:So we have the liberation of the undermine raid, um, so, despite the best efforts of the united cartels, jaster Gallywix has holed himself away in the Galagio, and I think that's what it's called. That's the giant like sort of hotel sort of house that he has and called in every favour ever owed to him, leaving a mountain of would-be oppressors between the goblins of Undermine and the Chrome. King Gazlow and the rest of Goblin Kind will need to find their way into the Galagio to rid themselves of Gallywix for good. So the bosses are Vexy and the Gear Grinders I'm guessing this was the um sort of show that they were putting on. So there's a boss that is does have music, and this music, essentially, is just all about uh, gallywix. So that's all you're hearing throughout the entire boss fight um cauldron of carnage. This is where it is a ring, and essentially it's a giant ape and a giant t-rex fighting each other.
Speaker 1:Mechanical um, so no idea what's happening there. Rick reverb no idea. Sticks, bunk junker these are very goblin names. They really really are. Sprocket monger, lock and stock I mean, these names are really out there the one-armed bandit, okay, mugsy heads of security and chrome king gallywix now, obviously gallywix is the only known sort of uh name there and it seems really weird that gallywix is our point one.
Speaker 1:Boss, I I really don't know where they can go from here, um, into the next patch. I I genuinely don't know. It's such a weird patch to have, um, in the middle of all this void stuff and zalatath stuff. Um, you go from fighting the queen of a nerubian sort of empire that's mutating her followers to be voidy and follow zalatath to. Yeah, let's go kill a goblin who's a bit, you know, up himself. It feels just feel like it really just feel like it so a bit weird. But you know, hopefully I I just don't know. I really don't know.
Speaker 1:The only thing that I can think of is something to do with belladar in hollow fall, because in the recent patch that just came out this week they are obviously talking about the crystals and you're searching the siren isles to empower these rings and there's a lot of belladar talk there. So I'm hoping that gallywix has something that links belladar to maybe being corrupted or being attacked by zalatath or something like that and we get a hollowful raid, because I think that would be amazing having a raid set sorry, I just dropped something set in the like open world of hollowful. That would be gorgeous and, depending on like the crystal, if it goes like every every 15 minutes or something, the crystal will change and depending on if the crystal is light or dark, depends on the enemy types that you're fighting. So you know you might be fighting some void boys that like, if it's dark, and you might be fighting the what the fish people called. You know the fish people in the middle of the like hello fall zone. I forget what they're called, but you fight them instead. So there's many different things that you can do with it, but I don't know. I think it's got to be something to do with belladar, just because there's a lot of belladar talk um happening around the siren isles and it's very profitable for goblins and obviously goblins like profit and galley wicks likes profit as well. So hopefully, uh, it's something to do with that. They need to do more with Belladar and the Hallowfall and the Arathi. I don't know when that is probably in midnight but I would love to see a lot more of them because that is such a cool. You can do so much with them. They are such a cool race of people in WoW and they have such history that it needs to be explored further. It really really does.
Speaker 1:Now, operation floodgate is your dungeon for this patch. This has four bosses a big mama, demolition duo, swamp face and geisel gigaziga Zap. These are the most ridiculous goblin names. This is going to be in the Ringing Deeps and this is going to be them attempting to blow up the dam that, essentially, would flood the Ringing Deeps. So, essentially, you're just stopping that. This means that I think the Undermine will be going from the Ringing Deeps into the zone, into the. What is it? The Undermine zone? Now, it would make the most sense because, obviously, the Ringing Deeps is very. You're mining away, you're getting the resources from the earth and this is where the goblins would most likely set up camp in the deeper places of the earth, and it would be the best option to connect these two zones. Um, but yeah, there's not much else about operation floodgate. They don't give us a lot of info on it, but I think that it will be. It will be all right. We're usually used to a mega dungeon in this patch, if I'm not mistaken. So without a mega dungeon, they're going to throw this right into the mythic pool, which is really really cool, in my honest opinion as well.
Speaker 1:Now there are some user interface and accessibility changes, the biggest ones being with war bands. So additional groups or additional camp groups can now be created on the character select screen with a maximum of 20 groups. Groups can be renamed or deleted by right clicking the group header button. So what this means is you have your group of four, which is your current war band. Ok, you cannot do anything. You can just move people in and out of this war band. What you can do is label this as group one. Then you can make a second war band of group two and you can put four people in that up to 20 of these groups. Now the best way that I'm going to do this is every single druid I have will come in one group, shamans will go in another, hunters another, warriors another, etc. Etc.
Speaker 1:I think that this is very good for those who alt multiple classes, and I think that this is the best way to do it because it's very organized. Firstly, or you can do it via a sort of you know what do I play mostly? System is what I do now in my current warband, because there's only four points to them, but I think this is really cool. It allows you to customize your sort of a main menu page, and I think that it's a very nice little addition to the game. Now, this one's the best one.
Speaker 1:New warband campsite backgrounds can be unlocked for your character select screen. A list of available campsites can be found in a new tab in the Warband collection pan, so I've seen some of these and you can change the background of your Warband like camp, so it can be in Icecrown Citadel, for example this isn't one of the examples they gave, by the way, and I don't know if this is available, but you know it can be in Icecr citadel. It can be in black temple. You know hellfire peninsula. It can be in stormwind for all we care, but it's more generic ones like the ones that we currently have. So think of somewhere outdoors in the azure span or somewhere in the waking shores, you know them sort of things. They're very cool and they give a sort of real mix up to it. So with this and the groups, you can have multiple backgrounds on each group. Um, so one group can have the standard background, another can be in stormwind, another can be in the azure span, etc. Um, or you can put a random one on it. Um, this is a simple dice and it will pick a random war uh, yeah, war war band background for you each time that you are on the main menu, which is really cool. Um, collecting campsites can be accessed and displayed via the menu button at the top of the character select screen. Uh, you can obviously from here assign a campsite background. Uh, set the campsite as a favorite or randomize it. Very simple.
Speaker 1:The quest log pan has received several updates, so the map filter now has accounted to how many items were hidden on the map Makes sense. That means that if you don't want to see world quests, you take off the world quests and it will say, oh, it's hiding seven world quests. You know that kind of deal. The map legend has been relocated to the tab on the side of the pan, which is good because it looked very clustered and a new event tab has been added to the pan with information about ongoing and schedule events within cas algar. So this allows you to keep track of weekly events and completions also set reminders for upcoming timed events, which is really good. This is like the theater stuff. This is for maybe, belladar changing color. That'll be really really good to have and really useful for those who want to farm a mount and hopefully that'll be really useful and they do them sort of things.
Speaker 1:Um, specializations for hunter pets can now be changed in the stables via a drop down menu. This is huge for those who don't know about hunter pets. Hunter pets have three different uh schools, essentially talents. One of them is cunning, one of them's tenacity, the other is, oh no, I've forgotten it. Oh, it's going to come back to me, but they have three different schools and they each give different buffs and you know uh, different pros and cons. So the cunning one gives you a freedom, so it allows you to use master's call and it gives you a freedom from roots, snares, um, anything like that. The tenacity pet gives you a damage reduction or a health boost. It gives you 20 percent increased health for a certain amount of time. So it's a last stand um. So in the stables you can now switch all of your pets to a certain type um. So if you want all of your pets to be tenacity pets, fine, you can do that in the stables.
Speaker 1:Um, this is going to benefit pvp a lot more than it benefits pve, because pve you probably just go with cunning. I would imagine so, unless you need the extra health for a certain boss mechanic. But I'm imagine you're going for cunning um. But in pvp cunning is usually the way to go because freedom is very good and because it has a mortal strike. Now this means that you want specific um like pets as well. So you always want an undead raptor for people who can't shackle or cc undeads, because, um, multiple things can cc beasts, but an undead raptor is not classed as a beast, it's classed as undead. And you also want a normal raptor in case you go against a retribution paladin that can stun a undead pet because of wake of ashes and that kind of thing. So what you can do is have a like, have six of these pets, essentially all as cunning, tenacity and the other one. So you have one undead raptor that's cunning um and one normal raptor that's cunning. And then you have one undead raptor that's tenacity and one that's you know, not. So this is going to benefit pvp a lot more, in my honest opinion, and I think that this is a very good change. I think that it's very good because it allows people to get specific pets that they want and also have still the best specialization that they want for their PvEing or PvPing that kind of deal.
Speaker 1:Overall performance information has been added to the top of the add-on list. The information for specific add-ons is now included in the tooltip and appears when hovering over the game menu button. Not sure what this means really. Add-ons can now be categorized by add-on authors and related add-ons will be grouped automatically in the list Search. The new right-click options have also been added to the menu. That's kind of interesting. I thought they would go the opposite way and try and slowly uh prune add-ons from the game.
Speaker 1:Um, yeah, but I guess not. Wild events that appear in a city hub are now consolidated with other map pins in the hub. Okay, pins will be placed in their actual locations when zooming into the map. Very good, that's a pretty useful. The indicator that quests have already been completed by a warband now appears at the top of the gossip frame. Uh, the achievement points display in the guild roster will now display total achievement points from the character's warband, same value as when it displayed in the achievement ui. Okay, very, very simple.
Speaker 1:Um, these are the main changes that are happening within the undermined. Now. 10.0.7 has just released and we're getting so many sort of bits and pieces about the undermined. This is going to release for testing after the new year. Okay, so we have all of this information, but we will not be testing it until after the new year my guess, probably the very first reset of it. So it's either going to be slap bang on the 1st of december or 2nd of the 1st of December, or 2nd of 1st of Jan sorry, or 2nd of Jan, which is a Thursday, or it will be the week after, which makes more sense, where they can throw up the PTR on Tuesday for NA, which is the 7th, and then Wednesday for EU, which is the 8th. Ok, this is the more likely choice and I think that that is the week that we are going to get it. So in three weeks time we will be looking at this PTR and seeing just how good it is.
Speaker 1:In the meantime, loads of talent changes have happened. Check them out on Wowhead. Check out the talent calculators, because some classes have had their talent trees moved around a bit the druids, mages, um, paladins, I think as well, something like that. Uh, let me just double check major hunter, druid and priest currently, uh, have had their talent trees rearranged, um, so do check it out. Very useful. But that is where I will end it for this episode. Thank you all very much for listening. Do check out all of the links down below Constant stuff happening over there, as well as Etsy. Do check it out Constant stuff being sold on there and we'd really appreciate it if you just gave it a look over. But thank you all very much once again and go with Valor friend. Goodbye all. Thank you.
