Music. Thank you, hello and welcome to the Pig and Whistle Tales from Azeroth. As always here at the Pig and Whistle Inn in Stormwind, I go through a variety of subjects with regards to World of Warcraft, so grab a bottle or a pint, sit back and enjoy this midweek episode. We'll be carrying on with the changes that are coming in 11.1 and we're going to be focusing on holy paladin to start off with, and then it will move on into priest and we'll see if we get any further than that, because there is still so many changes that are happening within the 11.1 patch. It's absolutely crazy how much is actually changing. And, yeah, if you guys want to know what class uh changes are happening for your class, honestly, do check the previous episodes that are, uh, hunter dks, uh, demon hunters. I'm going to be covering them all, um throughout the next, like few episodes as well, so please do check back. If your class isn't there yet, it will be in future episodes, so please do check it out and everything will be covered. So we will start off with paladins, obviously.
Speaker 1:Now seal of crusader healing reduced by 50. This is a big nerf actually. This is um. Paladins are quite tanky, passively tanky and, in my honest opinion, no class should ever be passively tanky in a game straight up. They should never be passively tanky in the game, um, especially with how tanky some classes are, like dks, for example, etc. So I think this is very good. Uh, light forge blessing now heals. One percent of health was two again. Another passive nerf a just reward now has more more just. As a more just reward, it's healing. It increased by 140. That's huge. Blinding. Light and repentance now break on a damage threshold instead of any damage. This is huge as well. Like I said, in any PvP sort of context, this implementation is going to be massive for most classes.
Speaker 1:Herald of the Sun Dawnlight now prefers players over creatures and summons Very simple. Templar Imperium Hammer now prefers player targets over creatures and summons. The hammer of light implementation has been revamped to resolve issues such as casting delays, tuning difficulties and limited scalability of its infrastructure. Not really sure what that means, um, in all honest with you, but okay, well, I guess we'll just have to see how that performs. Hammer of Light now displays the correct amount of damage done by its secondary target. Damage effect for Retribution Paladins Very simple. Hammerfall internal cooldown reduced to 0.1 seconds.
Speaker 1:Okay, not too bad For Holy Paladins. They get a new talent unbound freedom. This is a talent that should have been implemented a while back. Blessing of freedom increases movement speed by 30 percent and you gain blessing of freedom when cast on a friendly target. It's a choice node with echoing blessings. Okay, so paladins, or more specifically, retribution and protection. Paladins already had this, and this should have went to holy paladins straight up. It should have it never did, and now that they're finally getting it, it's going to be useful.
Speaker 1:Unending light has been redesigned. Now causes holy power spent on word of glory to increase the healing of light of dawn. Light of dawn is kind of meh, I'm not gonna lie in pvp, pve, I don't really know if it's used, but I don't think it is, to my recollection. Um, light's conviction now additionally causes holy shock to refund half its mana cost when cast offensively. This is very good, very good change. This means that you can do damage with your holy shocks as well as heal with them. Flash of light mana cost reduced to 0.6 percent. Base mana was 1.8. This is a huge buff. By the way, this is going to help with mana problems for holy paladins by a lot. Flash of light healing has been decreased, though by 25 percent, and holy light healing is increased by 90%. So they're really trying to push this cast to sort of. You know, paladin meta, almost infusional light now increased the healing of holy light by 30% was 100%. So this is obviously offsetting the buff that they just got to Holy Light. Infusion of Light now increases the healing of Flash of Light by 30% was reduced the mana cost. So this is where the Flash of Light changes have come from as well. They're kind of baking it all into Eva.
Speaker 1:Essentially they want no, actually they've done it opposites here, which is really weird, because they decreased flash of light baseline but the talent increases it. But holy light gets the increased baseline and the talent decreases it. Um, yeah, I don't, I don't know. Um, I thought that they would have done everything, like baseline, like everything would have been a certain percentage and you just up and like take or add and subtract to the percentage on the baseline and you can change the talents as and when you want. But no, I guess not. The spaghetti must be crazy behind all of this. By the way, inflorescence of the Sunwell now increases infusion of lights healing to increase to flash of light by an additional 15. So again, another straight up buff. Inflorescence of the sun will now increase the healing of holy light by an additional 15 was a 50. So this is a massive nerf.
Speaker 1:Okay, so they say that flash of light and holy light have a lot of power tied into talents modifying their effects and we would like these spells to be more effective to cast without these talents and casting these spells without infusion of light active to be a more viable option. So they are looking at that more caster heavy Holy Paladin spec. I'm not going to lie Standing there casting in like a retail. Wow feels really rough at points. It really really does. Echoing Blessings now increases movement speed during Blessing of Freedom by 30%. Was 15%. Very simple For Lightsmith, your Hammer and Anvil healing is decreased by 20%.
Speaker 1:So straight up nerf and Blessed Assurance now increases the damage of crusader strike by 20 was 180. So yeah, that's kind of rough. So basically, they're nerfing for p. This is definitely for pve that they're nerfing this, by the way, but it's going to have a massive impact on pvp. They are nerfing the shit out of lightsmith because of that damage increase because holy paladins are pumping. They're setting a very good standard of damage done, like in raids and stuff. So this is kind of rough. Um, it's a big nerf. Is a big nerf as crusader strike is one of your main damaging abilities, I believe. Um, when playing a holy paladin in pve content. Um, judgment is going to be the other one, but, yeah, this is kind of rough for protection.
Speaker 1:Paladins, you are looking at one change, that is, to templar. Undisputed ruling has been updated. Uh, hammer of light grants shield of righteousness, erupts a consecration beneath its target and increases your haste by 12% for six seconds. Additionally, eye of Tear grants three holy power. That is one hell of a talent, I'm not going to lie. That grants you Shield of Righteousness, so block chance, I believe it is. Gives consecration, so damage, gives you 12% haste and has something that gives you three holy power, or, like that, grants three holy power. That's a crazy good talent. No, that's crazy. For Retribution.
Speaker 1:Paladins, divine Hammer has been redesigned. Divine Hammers spin around you, striking enemies nearby For holy damage every two seconds for eight seconds. While active. Each holy power spent Increases the duration of the divine hammer by 0.5 seconds. This reduces damage beyond eight targets, costs three holy power and has a one minute cooldown. Very simple, um, for aoe purposes and dungeons. This is what that's for for pvp. This is never going to be taken straight up, just never.
Speaker 1:Um, flash of light healing is increased by 35. This gives them the indistant flash of lights I believe that they still have from dragonflight. That gives that more of a purpose. Word of glory's mana cost has been increased to 15. Was 10. Interesting. Healing hands now only functions to increase it. World of word of glory's healing on the paladin themselves was increased. Healing on allies divine tower now casts judgment at units near your main target even if you're not in combat with them. That is intriguing. Does this grant more holy power, then? Or is this just meant to be like cleave damage? That's really intriguing. I think this is just meant to be a bit more sort of aoe orientated for pve players. That's my guess with this sort of thing. Um, I can't really sort of tell you yes, it is or no, it isn't at this current time.
Speaker 1:So, moving on to priest, priest is probably the one who has the second most things changed in this patch okay, behind Hunter. So, starting off with Discipline Priests, and they say that the goal of these changes is to reduce the number of cooldowns Discipline Priests have access to and bake some of that power into other abilities. In addition, we're resolving some pain um in the talent tree and make it easier to get to quickly get atonement on allies by moving overload or overloaded with light into a more central location um, by moving, okay. Finally, we are re-theming Purge the Wicked into a shadow spell so that Twilight Equilibrium can be more consistently activated. Okay, I kind of understand that. So let's see, they have new talents.
Speaker 1:Divine Procession, smite extends the duration of atonements by three seconds. This is huge. That is huge, by the way, in both pve and pvp. It means that throw shields on people and you won't have to sort of keep it up. You're allowed to just do your damage rotation and not worry about reapplying atonement. That is huge.
Speaker 1:New talent in a focus flash heal powered, shield, penance powered, rad power, word life have a 20% increased crit chance to heal. Not bad, that isn't bad at all, just a straight up crit increase chance. Purge the wicked has obviously been renamed to encroaching shadows. Very simple, uh, evangelism. Evangelism that how you say it now heals all targets affected by atonement for 4200 percent of your spell power split amongst targets healed and then evangelism continues to extend atonement by six seconds, and its visual has been updated. Um, this is the talent that was on a choice node with power word barrier, if I'm not mistaken. So they really did need to up this because barrier was, I'm pretty sure, taken 99.99 of the time. Um, contrition has been made baseline and now logs as penance healing. Okay, yeah, it is Contrition. Penance Healing now triggers Divine Aegis. This is a simple damage reduction buff on the target.
Speaker 1:Power Word Shield Absorb increased by 15%. That's insane. Power Word Radiance Healing radius increased to 40 yards was 30. I didn't know that was 30 yards. Wow, that was really left behind, sort of in like whenever it was released. Legion Warlords of Draenor, I think it was Legion. Yeah, that's kind of been left in time because everything is like 40 yards now. Luminous barrier healing increased by 20%. Okay, strata buff Indemnity I think that's how you say it.
Speaker 1:Increase the duration of atonement applied by power word shield by four seconds Was three. That's not bad. That's not bad at all. The more time that you have with atonement up, the better. Ultimate penitence Now shields are produced for 100% of their health Was 50. So they're getting a seven mil barrier instead of a 3.5.
Speaker 1:Okay, smite damage increased by 25%. Shadow Word pain damage increased by 25%. They really want priests to just start smiting, don't they? Okay, we're all going to get soloed by a disc priest. Next patch, that's going to be great. That's just going to get soloed by a discreased Netspatch. That's going to be great. That's just going to be amazing.
Speaker 1:Pain and Suffering increased the damage of Shadow World Pain by 15-30%. This was cut in half. It was 7-15%. Void Summoner now only triggers from Mind Blast and Penance casts. Void Summoner reduced the cooldown of Shadowy Fiend by 8 seconds or Mind Bender by 4, was 4 seconds and 2 seconds. So this is just a straight-up buff. Again, this means that you get more mana back. If you're looking at it from a PvP perspective, the mana that you get from Shadow Fiend is really impactful and really good. Divine Aegis no longer triggers from periodic healing or atonement or causes Power Word shield critical heals to be stronger. Absorption increased by uh or to 30 was five percent. So again, these are massive buffs happening to disc uh, divine agus now displays on raid frames. This is very good. Um, again, they're just giving the player base the actual information that we should have had patches ago, patches, expansions ago. So this is always good.
Speaker 1:Ultimate penitence has swapped positions with a castigation in the talent tree overloaded with light, is now in a new position directly below ultimate penitence in the talent tree. The following talents have been removed now these are going to be really sad heaven's wrath. Fine train of thought, fine rapture rapture is gone. Rapture is such a good priest defensive it is unreal that they have managed to get rid of that. Now I get that. They get some buffs with just the shield absorb and stuff like 15 more, but that is such a big nerf, like losing rapture, these buffs need to accommodate for it and I don't think they will. I genuinely don't.
Speaker 1:For oracle, um, hero talents, you have a new talent twin sight. Three additional penance bolts are fired, and at an enemy within 40 yards when healing an ally with penance, or fired to an ally within 40 yards when damaging an enemy. So this is very good. It means that you can output some healing or damage just via more Penance Bolts. Very good, premonition, that's it. Now has two charges baseline that's very good, if I'm not mistaken, and Divine Providence has been removed. Okay, for Voidweaver, the other hero talent, your entropic rift damage is reduced by 20.
Speaker 1:This one's very simple and something that needed to be done. That rift really does hurt for holy priests. We're aiming to provide a better experience when using divine hymn while pulling back off the number of raid cooldowns available to the specialization. We're also doing some concern consolidation in the tree by removing circle of healing and adding more interactions with prayer of healing. Finally, we're looking to provide options for gameplay style centered around renew uptime in addition to existing play style. So they're looking at a hot sort of um like build for holy priest. That will be interesting.
Speaker 1:So several talents have changed positions in the talent tree. New talents Lasting Words your Holy Word Serenity applies 12 second renew to its target and Holy Word Sanctify applies 4 seconds renew to allies it heals. This is just the tier set that Holy Priest got back in dragonflight. It's good to see this returning and I think it's a very good quality of life thing. New talent light in the darkness. Increase the healing done by holy word serenity and holy word sanctify by 20 40 and increase the radius of holy word sanctify by 15 30. So this is very good um. Very much depends on, like, how much holy word serenity and holy word sanctify heal, for it really does depend on that. Now the serenity is really good. It will.
Speaker 1:Just, this will probably be a talent that's always taken pvp wise, but I don't know for pve. I straight up don't. I think it still would. It would make sense that it would, and because the aoe effect, as well as just the healing increase, will hit more players. As simple as that new talent dispersing light. Six percent of all healing done with heal flash, heal power, word life is replicated to four injured allies within 40 yards. Now this again sounds amazing. It's replicated, yeah, but it's only for six percent of the healing done. This means that you have some cleave healing, which is really good. This is what I found holy priest to struggle at, beyond sort of prayer of mending um. So you do have some sort of passive like output of cleave healing, but I don't think six percent will be enough.
Speaker 1:Genuinely um new talent, divinity. Your healing is increased by 10 while apotheosis is active. When you activate apotheosis, your next three heal or prayer of healing casts are instant and heal for 25% more. Um, no, no, I was thinking of something else. I thought prayer of healing was um prayer of bending, but prayer of healing is just the aoe, heal, um. It depends on how much heal and prayer of healing you're going to be healing for, if you take this or not genuinely because you don't need extra healing when in apotheosis you really don't. Okay, this could be taken. There is a world in which I see this being taken, especially as it makes the next three cast instant and heal for 25 more. But if they heal for nothing, the three in the stint cast don't mean anything.
Speaker 1:New talent, eternal sanctity, your holy wood, your holy words. Extend the duration of apotheosis by 1.5 seconds. That's really good. This will be taken. Big buff, big talent definitely needed for holy um. New talent, holy celerity. Reduce the cooldown of your holy words by 15 seconds. This is a guaranteed straight up 15 seconds less on your holy word serenity, your sanctifying stuff. This means that you can put more renews on people with the other. New talent, lasting words. This is really good. This will be taken. New talent empowered. Renew, renew. Reduce the cooldown of sanctity by an additional. Oh, I don't know, I don't think you Ha. I don't think it's worth the 60% more healing because this is a purgeable pot on the target and it will just get purged in pvp. So this isn't worth it. Um, in pve this is maybe worth it because you can throw reno on the tank, um, but who knows? I don't think this talent is going to be great. I'm not going to lie.
Speaker 1:Voice of of Harmony has been updated. Power Word Life now also reduced the cooldown of Holy Word. Serenity, divine Star and Halo now reduce the cooldown of Holy Word. Sanctify Very simple, just cooldown reductions. Seraphic Crescendo has been redesigned and moved from pvp talents to the holy tree. Now reduce the cooldown of divine hymn by 60 seconds. This is a choice node with gale of songs and gala songs has been redesigned. While channeling divine hymn, place two stacks of prayer of mending on up to three allies within its range. Every one second they've prayerful litany. Oh, what the fuck? They put this on the same line. Prayerful litany has been redesigned. Now cause the primary target of prayer of healing to be healed 75% more. Okay. Firstly, gala shadows being redesigned. That's for pve purposes. Seraphic crescendo pvp purposes. It's that simple. That's the way it's going to work Now.
Speaker 1:You've got straight buffs here, buffs and nerfs. All healing reduced by 8%. Obviously, that's a nerf. Holy Mending healing increased by 30%. Prayer of Healing increased by 40%. Prayer of Healing. Mana Cost increased by 25%. Prayer of Healing Cast Time increased to 2.5 seconds. Prayer Circle now triggers from Holy Word Sanctity Cosmic Ripple Healing increased by 150%.
Speaker 1:Lightwell's health threshold is now 75% was 50%. That's huge because it means that you've got a constant top-up of players and if you drop below 50 50 you can drop very quickly like from 50 to dead, like before a light well can go off. So the 75 threshold really really good. Um, resonant words also now affects power word life. This is probably just an increased healing. Uh, life weaver can now light weaver, sorry, can now also be consumed by prayer of healing. In additional, in addition to heal, light weaver now accumulates up to four. Charges was two. Uh, let me just see what the important ones hit hold up. Oh, wow, the divine hymn channel, uh is now five seconds was eight, but the healing is unchanged. So this is very big. This is very big. There isn't much else. Apotheosis now reduced the cooldown of holy words by 200% was 300.
Speaker 1:This is a big nerf. That's a big, big nerf and that might fly under the radar and it will feel really might feel awful. It genuinely might feel really awful for holy priests. Um, but there isn't a lot that has been changed other than that, to be honest. Um, although there was a lot that was changed just there. For oracle, for holy priest, you have a new talent, twin sight in addition. Uh, in additional two of Prayer of Mending is placed on a second ally within 40 yards when cast in Prayer of Mending. This is really good. Do not underestimate this talent. Okay, this is very strong.
Speaker 1:Primitive Care now increased the duration of Renew by 25%. It was six seconds, I think this comes to about the same, maybe a little bit of a nerf. Premonition now has two charges baseline, very good, and Divine Prominence has been removed Very simple. So the priest changes are quite significant for both Disc and Holy. So the healer specs, shadow, has not changed at all. Genuinely, I don't think it has a single change. So I think that it's actually really good to be honest with you that it hasn't changed. I think shadow priest is going to be in a very good position going into 11.1 and I think that I don't.
Speaker 1:Yeah, there's not much that I can say about these because we really don't know how the numbers are going to be in both PvE and PvP. They really have mixed up everything and we don't know where they're going to sit in sort of the rankings at the moment. What I will do after I've done all of the patch notes. This is going to be next week, would imagine. What we're going to do is that look to do a sort of tier list and I'm going to give my thoughts and opinions on where stuff will be.
Speaker 1:Now. This might be wednesday's episode next week, or this might be friday. It depends on how much I can get through for this fr Friday's episode, because there is still a lot to go through for shamans uh, more so than anything. Even warriors have like loads left. But yeah, it might be next Wednesday, might be next Friday, but I'll definitely do a tier list and I'll give my reasons why and do both pvp, pve.
Speaker 1:But I that I think Holy's going to be underwhelming. I think Holy Priest and Disc Priest are going to be really underwhelming genuinely. I think, just because the Rapture loss for Disc and I think Holy is in a rough spot as it is now, that I don't think the numbers are going to be, you know, keeping up with it, especially when you look at other healer changes. All right, misdweaver monk, in my opinion I'm already going to give you a spoiler that's going to be s tier, in my honest opinion, for both pve and pvp. But well, I mean, we'll see, we'll see. But that is where I will end it for this episode. Do check out all of the socials down below constant stuff happening over there. And do check out, uh, the Etsy shop constant stuff happening, um. But yeah, thank you all very much once again and go and Val a friend, goodbye all, thank you.
