Thank you, hello and welcome to the Pig and Whistle Tales from Azeroth. As always here at the Pig and Whistle Inn in Stormwind, I go for a variety of subjects with regards to World of Warcraft. I grab a bottle or a pint, sit back and enjoy the world of warcraft. Grab a bottle or a pint, sit back and enjoy this episode. We'll be going over the 11.2 ptr patch, what it entails, what it is, what's going to be coming with it and everything in between as well, as I'm going to be covering something that is to do with the podcast itself and that will be towards the end of the episode. So, please, it's going to be something that's important to the episode or going forward. So if you're interested, please keep to the end and keep a listen out for it. And I do keep people up to date on the Twitter or X as it is now, so do drop me a follow over there and I can keep you updated on what is happening. But let us start with the weekly news. As always, we have aggregation of horror as well as the godfather as our world bosses for the week. They can be located within the ringing deeps as well as the undermined. Uh, we have BFA Time Walking as well as Delves as our bonus events. Bfa Time Walking is new and this, essentially, is a battle for Azeroth Dungeons in a time walking sense. So you can get multiple things from that expansion for time walking badges, and these are different cosmetics, mounts, reputations, etc. As well as delves. You get extra pieces of loot for completing the delves this week. So make sure you are doing that as and when you want to. Classic ashram is your brawl for the week. Classic ashram is simply ashram, but they remove the reinforce. Therefore, the only way that you can win, and the only win condition, is if you defeat the boss. Ok, and this is essentially something that could never happen or it could happen within five minutes. So, yeah, it could go on for a while or it could, you know, finish very quickly, but usually the classic Ashram goes on for a longer period of time. So 11.2 has obviously been announced and it is going to go into PTR. If not now, I think it will go into it very soon. I'm just double checking to see if it was on PTR now or if it's going to be next week, because I wanted to check that. No, it is on PTR right now. Okay, cool, so it is currently on PTR. They're doing raid testing, I think in July mainly, and the end of the raid testing is July 16th or something. I believe it's something around that 18th. There we go. July 18th yes, I believe so. So I would imagine that this comes out on the 22nd of july or the 23rd. Um, the patch that is. So if you're looking to complete anything like mythics or a certain rating in pvp, you want to be doing it by the end of that date, so make sure that you are staying tuned or keeping up to date with that.
Speaker 1:Now, the patch itself is called Ghosts of Koresh. Koresh is a planet that has been destroyed essentially by the Void. Is he a Void void lord? I think he's a void lord. Uh, demencius. Okay, now, we have actually encountered demencius in uh world of warcraft before, but it's a very low scale demencius. The place in which we encountered him was back in the burning crusade back in 2007 in nether storm, and it's one of the sort of end missions in nether storm if you are following the entirety of the nether storm campaign, and it can be overlooked. And it's just not seen um in retail at the moment, really like ever, because you usually out level some of these zones quite quickly. So we have it face Demetrius, and this whole patch is about trying to stop them from bringing him back. Essentially, the Ghost of Koresh is available for testing and this is what it entails. You continue the War Within campaign. So in Ghosts of Koresh, the campaign continues as more pieces to, uh, to a troubling puzzle fall into place.
Speaker 1:With the release of this content update, players will be able to immerse themselves in the war within story as it leads up to the next chapter of the world soul saga midnight. So midnight being a very void heavy. So it seems expansion. And what better way to sort of introduce this to the void than to have a void lord in Demensius being the final boss of this expansion? And a lot of people are saying that it isn't going to be a final boss. It looks final bossy. Okay for the M expansion, it really does.
Speaker 1:I get that it might not be the final boss you wanted. I get that it might have been Zalatath that you want, but Zalatath, to me, screams like a midnight final boss or a like final boss at the end of all of it, at the end of the saga. Okay, that's what Zalatath screams to me and I'm hoping that it is going to be one of them. You're going to have eridicron, most likely as the second um. Last boss in midnight is my guess, because eridicron just wants to destroy the world and the titans and all of that, and this will allow that to open. Eridicron will be our link to the last titan uh, which is the third um expansion of the trilogy, and I imagine zalatath is going to be the final final boss. Uh, yeah, I, I just think so, and we'll obviously have the whole.
Speaker 1:Oh yeah, illidan's back kind of arc in that at the end of the uh midnight expansion that that'll be good, I'm pretty. Yeah, illidan's back kind of arc in that at the end of the midnight expansion that that'll be good. I'm pretty sure Illidan's coming back. You can't have a last titan without bringing back all of the titans that are currently chilling having a picnic with Illidan right next to them, can you? So he'll be coming back for sure. I really hope that it's the same voice actor, by the way. He does such a good job with Illidan's voice and he's absolutely amazing. He kills it. He absolutely kills it, the voice, and it's so iconic it really is.
Speaker 1:So there's some unfinished business to be had on Koresh and a spectre of an old enemy looms, large Forces with ill intent are determined to bring forth Demensius the old, devouring once more to finish off the Ethereals. Should he arise, azeroth will also be in peril from this dangerous Void Lord. Hey, I got it right, it was a Void Lord. So, yes, demensius essentially engulfed the planet of the Ethereals, the Ethereals being the people who are wrapped up in sort of bandages. That is their race. They are Ethereal and their planet was Koresh, and so it was destroyed by Demencius. Explore the shattered world.
Speaker 1:Home of the Ethereals, koresh is a fragmented, void touched world just waiting for players to explore what remains of the little known land. With shadowy forces working towards bringing demensius back into the world, players will need to gather their allies in a bid to put a stop put to him and his followers. He'll'll fight alongside Elyria Windrunner and her mentor, locus Walker, among others, to end the clear and present danger he poses. Players will also have the opportunity to explore Tazavesh, the Veiled Market. Work towards restoring the ecosphere in the ecodomes. Go phase diving, and more so Tazavesh, you might think. Oh, I know that name.
Speaker 1:Tazavesh is a dungeon that was in Shadowlands and it was one of the Ethereals. Tazavesh is for the Ethereals and where they trade a lot of the goods across the cosmos kind of deal. They can, from this, port Tazavesh into the sort of afterlife or any sort of plane that they want. Now how they do this no one knows at the moment, but kind of makes sense. It didn't belong in the Shadowlands, not at all, so it makes sense that they are able to just keep porting. But I didn't know that they were able to port into the realms of death. That one's a bit crazy. So the return to tazavesh, the veiled market, it's not just a dungeon.
Speaker 1:In the koresh content update, tazavesh has been brought from the shadowlands to serve as a home base for adventurers. Glowing, glimmering shields of energy protect the city from the dangers of the cosmos, uh, beyond, allowing, uh, the many survivors of this land to have a degree of safety behind them. Yes, it's so cool. It's cool. You know what this gives me? It gives me the same feeling of what? Was it not korthia? Ah, the final zone in the shadowlands? I forget in the name of it. You know where the sepulcher of the first ones is, that land? Um, it gives me that sort of town vibe and I don't know. It's just a sour taste in the mouth really.
Speaker 1:You'll forge for the campaign, gather allies, hunt down the mountain threats uh found in koresh and set the stage to take on Demetrius himself, all from this iconic ethereal and broker hub of activity. Now I hope that they go over it. But OK, yeah, yeah, I'm pretty sure they do. So I'll leave that point until later. I think that it'll be really cool. They have quite a bit of free reign to do the world as it is, because there is very little known in lore about this world. There is very little known about Koresh. All we know is that this is their planet, this is where the Ethereals came from, and we've known that for a very, very long time now. So it's actually quite cool that we're going back there. But it's kind of weird.
Speaker 1:The war with him. We've gone everywhere. We've gone deep into the ground with the Ringing Deeps, hallowfall, ajkahet, and then you went further into the Azeroth with Undermind, the goblin sort of home world, and then you went further and further, uh, so far that you've gone off of azeroth now and onto a different planet, uh, to koresh, which is quite cool. So you've gone everywhere in the war within um midnight. I would, I would imagine, takes. I don't know, I don't know.
Speaker 1:My thoughts for Midnight is that Demensius is going to somehow go to Azeroth and plunge it into a void sort of darkness and this will revamp the entire world and allow us to play in old Azeroth, but just in the current expansion. That's my thoughts on it, because they did hint that Demencius, the size of him, is the size of Stormwind, and I get that. They're just doing a comparison. But it would be kind of cool if he did just attack Stormwind, kind of like garrosh in the mythic version of garrosh hell screams boss fight, where he teleports and he sees a vision of himself destroying stormwind. Okay, that raid fight. So it would be kind of cool, but it's actually it comes to fruition. He does manage to encase the world in void. You know it, I, I would like that that be the case.
Speaker 1:And you have these sort of safe havens, with silver moon being revamped and you've got the exodar. Well, not the exodar and the nar or the dragon are making a new city in kalimdor and you have Silvermoon in Eastern Kingdoms. These are your two main hubs for Midnight. It would be really cool because you have two light protected zones with the Draenei and the Exodar, or the new city that they're going to build, and then you have Silvermoon with the sun, well, and all of this stuff. They're very sort of prominent points that have never featured in wow to a very big degree. So this is their time to get that sort of the light, almost have the light shown on them. Yeah, for an expansion, and I think it would be really cool to have to be honest.
Speaker 1:So the rush, reshi rap, rap, oh my god, raps. Upgradable artifact. There we go, we got there. Harness the power of the ethereals and see the world through their eyes. An artifact cloak hold on, don't judge it yet. Reshi raps.
Speaker 1:Wraps can be used to try and say that a few times quickly can be used to transform into an energy form, much like the ethereals, and interact with the world in a new way. You use these wraps to take on a new type of content, phase diving as well as use them in the mana forge, omega, raid, raid, the Open World, delves and more. Rashi wraps will upgrade and scale with you and include new visuals as you progress through the content. So the visuals are really cool. You become more and more of an ethereal wrapped up in this like well, toilet paper is what I'm going to call it, but it does look really cool. It really really does, and people who want to look like that. I'm sure there'll be a transmog for it and I think you'll be really happy with the look of it.
Speaker 1:I just worry that this artifact cloak is going to impact everything and that if you don't upgrade it, you're going to constantly be behind, kind of like artifact weapons or azurite powers or anything like that. It's not great. I just hope that it isn't sort of um conduits or from shadowlands where you have to do this, otherwise you will fall behind. They need to make sure that there is a catch-up mechanic for those that cannot do it. Okay, they really need to make sure of that and I'm sure they will. I'm sure they would have learned from their previous mistakes with that, but it does look good and I'm very curious to see the phase diving and the way that they implement these mechanics. I think some mechanics are essentially, you become a ball of manna okay, and you can phase through certain things within the raid uh, like like certain mechanics that require you to turn into this ball of mana, um, and I'm hoping that it looks visually really cool and it feels just as good to use. Okay, that's all I hope.
Speaker 1:I really hope that they do well with this wrap up and go phase diving. So this is one of the things that you can do with the wraps enter untethered space by using your reshi wraps to experience a whole new aspect of koresh. You'll experience new creatures, objectives, world quests and some new mechanics. All within this overlay of the world. You can expect to see every anything you normally would in a world, such as treasures, rare, rare mobs or objects. But there will also be some unique opportunities to be found, such as warrants, aid the constable of tazavesh by hunting down notorious monsters for fun and profit.
Speaker 1:I swear to god, if this is how I make my gold in the next patch, I'm fine with that. It's a bit annoying that it's pve based, but I'm fine with that. It sounds all right. I'm not sure what phase diving is, though. It doesn't really clarify it. It kind of just feels like it's another way to get around the map instead of um. It's kind of replacing. What is it? Oh my god, dragon riding. But I'm perfectly fine with that for a patch. I think that it's very good and kind of needed every now and again, because we're going to have a lot of dragon riding, probably in the next expansion, and it makes sense that they're playing with these different things. They tried it in um the undermine with the car and I think that was quite effective, so I'm hoping that they do this and it's going to be just as effective. Same with the car and dragon riding going forward. New system ecological succession.
Speaker 1:Help Venari, yes, yes, yes. Yes. Venari is one of the best characters, not best characters. Her character wasn't great in the shadowlands, but I love vinari's voice actor. Vinari's voice actor is so good again, it's um anna from overwatch and many other things, but honestly, such a unique voice and such a cool voice absolutely amazing. I hope it's her, but there's many different things that might not have her being the voice actor for it because of altercations and stuff like that in the past. Um, and that's with just her personal preference to not work with blizzard and stuff, I'm pretty sure. Um. So help venari.
Speaker 1:Bring back to Koresh with her eco domes. You'll help fill them with creatures that thrive within the ecosystem. You'll scour previously traveled zones to bring back animals to live within the eco domes and aid them in adjusting to life in Koresh. It's up to you to help transform this barren eco dome into one filled with life and promise for a new future. That's really cool. So you travel to, like elwyn forest and pick up some sheep and some critters and some rabbits and you know some of this and you throw them in there. That would be kind of cool. I hope that after like an expansion or two, you are able to go and visit these eco domes. That you've done and, depending on how much you did back in this patch, it actually shows a reflection of that. It's like, oh my god, this eco dome is completely thriving. You know, and you'll get and you can see that it'd be really cool payoff, but I highly, highly, highly, highly doubt that that would happen. Um, yeah, it's still a really cool feature and I think it's trying to get people out there to different zones, like older zones, to be like, oh, this is a old zone from wow, but people never really got to experience that, so that's fine.
Speaker 1:The mana forged omega raid, a massive facility built upon the planet to harvest cosmic energy. Players will fight their way in and through this raid dungeon. This raid dungeon, yeah, to take on the shadow god, ethereals, who have set their efforts towards reviving demensius. You'll join with your allies to ultimately fight demensius in a cosmic battle of truly epic proportions to stave off what could be the end of azeroth as we know it. Oh, when I read that I got goosebumps. I feel like we're going to revamp old azeroth again. That's a revamp of old azeroth if I've ever seen one. Oh, that'll be good.
Speaker 1:These are the raid bosses uh, plexus, sentinel, lumithar, soulbinder, nazim drie pretty sure I said that right forgeweaver aries, the soul hunters optional encounter. Fractilactilus, nexus, king Salhadar, and then Demensius, the All-Devouring. So you have an eight boss raid, one of them being an optional encounter. The Soul Harvesters are the ones I want to talk about. These are the optional ones. This is a council fight and it's of three demon hunters. You have one vengeance demon hunter, one havoc demon hunter and then you have a shadowy demon hunter.
Speaker 1:Now, for those of you that obviously don't know, demon hunters only have two specializations, specializations. I think and a lot of people have obviously thought this as well that this is an indication that there's going to be a third demon hunter spec and it's going to be doing, be going on, my god, the words, and it's going to do with shadow, and this would be really cool. I really hope that they do this, and it it's long overdue. Demon hunters have needed that third uh specialization for a very long time, and I'm glad that they are finally getting that. What this means, though, is that they will need to redo the hero talents as well for demon hunters, because you're going to have havoc, and this shadow um demon hunter, what's going to share the hero talents for that? What's the vengeance and shadow demon hunter going to be, and then what's the vengeance and havoc demon hunter going to be? You know these sort of things, so they're going to have to redo the hero talents as well.
Speaker 1:The war within season, obviously. You have multiple dungeons, and you have a new dungeon, ecodome Aldani. This is a three-boss dungeon where you'll encounter a variety of creatures, including devourers who are consuming the life found there. You'll also face the wastelanders who have dug in and learned the purpose within their ecodome. This new dungeon will be available immediately on, like every difficulty, pretty much. The dungeon bosses, obviously, are called Azhikar, tabat and Awaz. Yeah, we'll go with that. Soulscribe. That one's easy. I can do that one. These are the three bosses in the um, where is it? In the dungeon and for the dungeon pool.
Speaker 1:For the mythic season, you have this eco dome, you have my one that I really enjoy. Halls of atonement I like halls of atonement. You obviously have both, both tazavesh's, so Streets of Wonder and Solia's Gambit. Aracara City of Echoes is back. Dawnbreaker is back as well. Priory of the Sacred Flame and Operation Floodgate these are the ones.
Speaker 1:Returning for season three, there is a new delve called the Archival Assault, and within the Azure Vaults, within the Dragon Isles, you'll encounter Ethereals, ethereal Pirates and Brokers who are plundering the delve. Using the Rashi Wraps, you will unlock unique challenges, gateways to bosses or challenge rooms. You may also get a glimpse of your friends within the delve, as well as even mourn them as you observe their ghosts from where they died. This feature will be available in a later PTR build, so if you die in a Delve, you'll be able to actually spectate your friend. Is what I'm kind of getting. I think so Is what I'm kind of getting. I think so.
Speaker 1:The delve boss for this season Is going to be Nexus, princess Kaivessa, and this boss was in the very first raid tier About the sixth boss in or something, and essentially all she does is disappear. She doesn't actually die, she just walks away. And this is going to be your delve boss for this week. Okay, you can get two new toys as well as the delvers. Oh, or, these are the toys the delvers manabound ether gate open.
Speaker 1:Manabound ether gate opens a portal to return to the explorers league in Dornegal. And the oh my God, these words. Ethergate opens a portal to return to the Explorers League in Dornagal. And the oh my God, these words. The Etheric Bramometer. Bramorpha, sorry, summons an ethereal transmorpha that can change your appearance. Oh, that's cool. It's a transmog toy. That's cool. I like that. New world boss. Roshanor the Untethered. The Ethereals of Koresh first witness this destructive maw of the void after Demencius' attack. They believe Roshanor has manifested as their eternal punishment, for it comes back around to keep eating them and their planet as it grows infinitely bigger over the years.
Speaker 1:Quite simple season three, class sets. So instead of doing normal tier sets, they're going to be doing hero talent tier sets. This means that your class will have two different tier sets for your specialization. Sorry, you will have one tier set that is one of your hero talents and you'll have another tier set which is the other part of your hero talents. Okay. So this means that you can get eight pieces of set, but essentially it still be four set for one of your hero talents. That way you can dip in and out, and I really hope that they make it so that you can get two a week with the converter thing, because if you start going with one of them and you realise, oh shit, I actually need the other hero talent set, it's not going to feel good, it really isn't, so hopefully that changes. But it's still very good, very, very good.
Speaker 1:The PvP updates there isn't a lot, and it's still very good, very, very good. The pvp updates there isn't a lot, and it's sad to see, but, um, they'll also be able to undertake new world quests to vanquish their foes on vanquish's wake island. This new point of interest is a perfect spot to hang out hang out for those seeking to go toe-to-toe in some outdoor pvp battles. So this is where you'll get your bloody tokens from from the start of the week. Very simple, um.
Speaker 1:I do really hope that there is more to that for pvp updates, and that's all I can say on that matter. Really, obviously there are a lot of hero changes or talent changes, um, but there is way too many to go over. They are also adding extra cursors, so a grabbing hand inspect, drive and resize. These are the cursors that have been added or improved in resolution, which is really weird. But that is it for the patch. It's looking good. I genuinely think it's looking good. I'm glad that it's coming out in july and I really want to see what midnight is going to bring. Okay, I hope that as soon as they release this patch, they go look so grateful for you guys to stick with it. This is what we have in store and it shows the midnight, um, what is going to come in that patch. Okay, and when pre-patch might be, potentially. I really hope they give us updates on that and I hope, again, they do something with PVP in that regard.
Speaker 1:When it's, you know, being sort of talked about, it's like, yeah, we're looking to revamp the entirety of the rating in PvP or looking to do something with it, because, again, we need something for PvP. It's at an all-time low and it's quite upsetting, to be honest with you, as it is a fun element of the game. That is where I'll end it for this episode, but I've gone over this so many times and I've tried to write it down to get points, but I'm just going to try and freestyle it. Over the course of the month or so, it's been very tough to produce these episodes, okay In terms of motivation or just other factors, completely other factors. Um, I would love to keep doing this, but it's so yeah it. It's really tough at the moment because I would. There's a lot happening, ok, and that is to do with just a lot of IRO stuff potentially moving and not having the opportunity to do these going forward as well Going to be looking at that in the near future and I'll keep you guys updated on that, but what I need to do for now is currently go back to a one episode a week, and I know that you guys might be accustomed to getting two episodes a week.
Speaker 1:Um, for a while and I do apologize I would like to do two episodes a week, like going back into it, but at the moment it's a really tough right now and there's many different factors that affect this, on both mental health, just motivation, in terms of stuff to actually talk about as well from WoW, because obviously this is the first major patch that we've had in a while. It's, you know, slower. It's a little bit slower and it's sort of downtime of wow, obviously when mr pandaria releasing and stuff like that. You know there's many different factors to this, but we will, for the time being, be going back to one episode a week on fridays. I will try and keep it at the same time every friday. That way there is a consistency in it.
Speaker 1:Please do keep um. Please do follow twitter or x. I do keep constant updates on there, whether there's an episode that's late, what's happening, all of that. I also do, uh like videos on tiktok. You can see how active I am there. This is on wow stuff, mainly arenas, the team that I play with. I'll do clips of that. Just have fun. Uh, I will also stream on youtube. There is constant streams happening on youtube when we do play and with the end of the season happening, there is going to be a lot more streams happening throughout the month. So please do check it out. Please subscribe to the youtube. Do check out etsy as well. Multiple things are going up there.
Speaker 1:I'm constantly trying to get more things out, but it's a very slow process of find it. You know, print it. Something didn't go right, amend it, print it again, there is a lot of you know, stuff that can go wrong with that and it does take a while to get stuff out, but there is stuff constantly. But from now on and for the foreseeable future, we're going back to one episode a week and again, I do apologize. I know that it's not ideal for some people who do enjoy the content and I appreciate all of you, I really, really do but it's something that I need to do right now. Um, just for myself. But thank you all very much once again and go avala, friend, goodbye. Thank you.
